The End is Upon Me

The end is upon me for all that I've done,
surrounded by enemies who think they have won.
We've got him now, there's not a way of escape,
the curtains drawn while the cords pull the drapes.
Hordes upon hordes from the enemies camp,
assail this poor soul with no exit to ramp.
It seems they have got him, like a bird he seems done,
unawares to these demons the battle's the Son's.
With His power and great glory the evil ones shook,
their doom is inevitable being sealed by the Book.
Trembling and fearful the tide has now turned,
destroying all enemies by the mouth of His Word.
Forever and ever His kingdom will reign,
no more death, no more sorrow nor things that cause pain.
If your end seems near having done all you can,
remember dear ones you are etched in His hands.
He will not forsake you, He will not forget,
He's given you freedom, He's ripped up the net.
Keep in mind that He loves you;His mind hasn't changed,
His promise is true unswerving never waned.
Be sure and remember that His mercies endure,
The Lord is faithful, good and pure.
