The Economic Tsunami

An economic tsunami upon us has crashed,
world markets wavering banks strapped for cash.
World leaders wondering what shall we do,
dump more money, till the bailouts come through.
Stock markets plunging, so global they dive,
more money, more money just staying alive.
Raise prices, raise prices so oil goes up,
the world slows their driving there's a stop so abrupt.
Reduction sets in with great moderation,
economies stall with fears of recession.
Higher and higher these prices go,
no more buying only selling the economy slows.
The mortgage fault line the shifts of subprime,
triggering waves so great they are blind.
Blinded by greed, their coffers are fat,
ignoring integrity causing global setbacks.
Lay offs and closings plants shutting down,
few people smiling, many have frowns.
We wonder how long can we deal with this mess,
our leaders rush frantically with plans to address.

Addressing the crisis they start with the fruit,
by passing the problem that starts from the root.
The root stems from men driven by greed,
no compassion, no consceince make money their creed.
Winner takes all at the world's expense,
world markets breached torn apart like a fence.
In conclusion, I'm hoping that there plans would succeed,
but hearts unaddressed will continue in greed.
The only solution to reverse this course,
the Son of God-the only source.
